Document: Launch – Resolved an issue that caused the error message ‘No Launch
information found’ to display if a user attempted to launch a Microsoft Word 97/98
document. (9799)
OCR: Accuracy – Resolved a character recognition issue where, in certain situations,
alpha characters were recognized as numeric. The primary example of this was the
letter “O” being recognized as the number 0. (9767)
OCR: Menus – Resolved an issue with certain OCR menu commands. They displayed as
enabled on a versioned document that was not checked out. (9521)
Queries: Multi Document Type – Resolved an issue in Windows Vista when attempting
to run a multiple document type Fortis query that resulted in the error: “Access
violation occurred at <some memory location> in module comctl32.dll. The product
must now exit.” The issue was related to system properties being incorrectly removed
by Fortis on Windows Vista using certain desktop themes. (9527)
Data Entry Assistant: File DSN – Resolved an issue using Data Entry Assistant with a
File DSN (Data Source Name) with a path longer than 64 characters. (9796)
Document Explorer – Resolved a memory access violation. It possibly occurred when
viewing “All Docs” in a folder containing more than 65,510 records. A modification
now limits the Fortis Document Explorer to a maximum display of 32,760 documents.

Fortis Office: Localization – Resolved the issue of a Fortis Office menu item being
referred to by its English string value and not the unique ID. This resulted in the error
“Fortis Office Error: Invalid procedure call or argument” in MS Office versions
configured to run languages other than English. (9835)
Fortis Capture: Release Script – Resolved a Fortis Release Script for Kofax Capture 8.0
issue. It caused a Run-time error ‘91’ to occur in the Fortis Release Script configuration
dialog when clicking the Browse button on the miscellaneous tab. (9757)
Scan: TWAIN – Resolved an issue with a specific virtual TWAIN scanner driver. It
caused Fortis to recognize a scanner as flatbed instead of a document feeder. (9784)
